Frequently Asked Questions

Are your services expensive?

Expensive?  NO WAY!  Most clients save enough on their tax bill to pay my fee and enjoy some money, sometimes significant amounts!  But they also get Peace of Mind that their professionally prepared return is nearly bullet-proof.  Taxes are complicated, Let Larry Do Them.  Brain surgery is also difficult, and I will head to a pro for that if the time comes.

As a sample, a Federal  1040 with Schedule A, and one state return start at $325.00.

Schedules C (Business), D (Capital Gains), E (Rental Property) range from $25 – 75, depending on complexity.  Very complex schedules will cost more to prepare.  I will happily try to estimate the cost of your return before beginning to work on it.

Do you have any discounts available?

Yes! You can get your taxes prepared for FREE!  I’ll pay your $25 for each client you send me.  Send enough and you’ll get your taxes done FREE!

What if I am really late in filing my return or otherwise out of compliance? Will you work with me?

We all let things slide now and then.  Some of us really slide, until it seems the situation is hopeless.   I meet new clients who sheepishly admit they haven’t filed tax returns in. . . OK, let’s just say “a very, very long time.” I’ll work with you to prepare your out of compliance years.  As a testimonial, none of my clients are still in jail! I remind these potential clients that I’m not the IRS, I’m just trying to get their returns filed before the IRS notices and contacts them.  It's always best to initiate these conversations, in my experience.

Where can I get information about tax forms, laws and filing procedures?
